Blood Collections

Blood collection, commonly known as a blood draw or venipuncture, is a medical procedure in which a healthcare professional collects a sample of blood from a patient for diagnostic testing, monitoring, or other medical purposes. The collected blood is then sent to a laboratory for analysis to help diagnose conditions, monitor health, or evaluate the effectiveness of treatments.

DOT Drug Testing

DOT drug testing refers to drug testing mandated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) for safety-sensitive employees in various transportation sectors. This testing is part of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations and aims to ensure that individuals operating commercial vehicles, such as trucks and buses, are not under the influence of drugs while performing their duties.

The DOT mandates testing for a specific panel of drugs, including marijuana, cocaine, opiates, amphetamines, and phencyclidine (PCP) through the collection of a urine sample. The sample is sent to a certified laboratory and the rsults are reviewed by a Medical Review Officer (MRO) who determines whether they are positive or negative.

DOT testing generally includes pre-employment testing, random testing, post-accident testing, reasonable suspicion testing, return-to-duty testing, follow-Up testing.

All staff members at Urgent Lab Services LLC are certified DOT Professional Collector Technicians for drug collections.

Non-DOT Drug Testing

Non-DOT drug testing refers to drug testing that is not regulated by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) but is still conducted for various reasons by employers or organizations. Unlike DOT drug testing, which is mandatory for certain safety-sensitive positions in the transportation industry, non-DOT drug testing can be used more broadly and can vary widely in its application and requirements.

Testing methods include urine testing, hair testing, saliva testing, and blood testing.

Breathe Alcohol Testing

Breath alcohol testing with a breath alcohol testing device (often known as a breathalyzer) is a method used to measure the amount of alcohol present in a person's breath, which can then be used to estimate their blood alcohol concentration.

All staff members at Urgent Lab Services LLC have completed training to provide breath alcohol testing for federal and non federal testing programs.

DNA Testing

DNA testing, also known as genetic testing, is a scientific process used to analyze an individual's DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) to identify genetic information and variations. This testing can provide insights into a person's genetic makeup, identify specific genetic disorders, and establish relationships between individuals.

DNA can be collected from various biological samples, including blood, saliva, cheek swabs, hair follicles, or tissue samples. Our DNA testing includes testing for Medical Diagnosis, Forensic DNA Science, Ancestry and Genealogy, Personal Health and Wellness, Immigration and Personal Identification, Non-invasive Prenatal Testing, Non-Legal Paternity Testing, Maternity Testing, and Court Admissible Paternity Testing.
